Visa Changes in Effect November 12, 2014 Expected to Help International Purchases of US Real Estate

International investment in US real estate could soar to new heights in 2015 thanks to the reciprocal US/China visa agreement (November 12, 2014) that will issue five-year  multiple-entry visas to students and 10-year multiple-entry visas to business travelers and tourists.

This new agreement mitigates challenges for those investing in property in the US.  Namely Chinese parents of children studying in the US.  This is a welcome change for parents investing in US education for their children!

According to the NAR 2013 Profile of International Home Buying Activity, China and Canada have been the fastest growing sources of International clients.  Many Chinese investors are all-cash buyers.

To meet the rising rate of international buyers in Southern California successful real estate brokers and agents must diversify their marketing to brand themselves in the global market and prioritize international marketing.

Given our rich education system and real estate market in Southern California there is no doubt international purchases will continue to rise.  This further demonstrates a global confidence in the US real estate market.

RE/MAX Evolution, of Laguna Beach, responds to the influx of Chinese Buyers by setting up (virtual) shop in China!  RE/MAX Evolution selected JUWAI.com the leading real estate site in China to host the RE/MAX Evolution virtual office.  www.juwai.com/REMAXEvolution.
